ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a medical intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be prepared to manage complex patient cases.Position DetailsUnit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)Start Date: 10/13Contract Duration: 16 weeksShift: PMHours: 36 hours guaranteedJob ResponsibilitiesThe ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for:Providing critical care for adult and adolescent patients with serious medical conditions.Managing patients with respiratory failure, GI bleeding, diabetic emergencies, acute renal failure, sepsis, and multi-system organ failure.Caring for patients who are transplant-ready and those undergoing high-dose Interleukin-2 therapy.Responding to patient emergencies and participating in Code Blue situations.Documenting patient progress and communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.Floating to areas of equal or lesser acuity as needed based on operational requirements.QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:Possess a current and valid RN license.Have at least two years of full-time staff RN experience in a Medical ICU.Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required prior to any travel assignments.Current certifications in AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, PALS, and AHA NIHSS.All licenses and certifications must be valid during the entire contract period.Compliance and RequirementsCompliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the start date.
