AWS Platform Engineer

Role Description

CSG Forte is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer Senior to join our AWS Cloud-based IT Department. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.

• Design, implement, and maintain production infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem.
• Develop and manage CI/CD workflows using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Deploy and maintain serverless functions using AWS Lambda.
• Administer and optimize Aurora PostgreSQL databases for high performance and reliability.
• Implement and oversee monitoring and logging practices using tools like Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with teams for system integration, ensuring robustness and scalability of infrastructure.
• Lead problem-solving efforts and address complex technical challenges.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in cloud technologies and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in platform engineering, with a significant portion dedicated to managing production infrastructure in AWS.
• Proven track record in deploying and managing large-scale infrastructure in a production environment.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, especially CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Lambda, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong skills in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of networking, security in cloud environments, and database management.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
