Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I Trauma hospital requiring Da Vinci Xi robotic proficiency and prior travel experience.

Job Details

• Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting,
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM,
• Works a 6-week matrix with 3-4 weekend shifts (days, evenings, or nights),
• On-call responsibilities of 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix with 30-minute response requirement,
• Floating required as needed,
• Holiday coverage as needed, may include day, evening, or night shifts,
• Prefers RNs who both scrub and circulate,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Must function independently across multiple surgical specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, and thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart),

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required, no license violations accepted,
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only),
• Minimum 3 years of experience, with at least 2 years out of orientation,
• Prior travel nursing experience required,
• Level II Trauma experience required (over 1 year), Level I Trauma experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital experience required,
• Must be proficient with the Da Vinci Xi robotic system without need for refresher training,
• Familiarity with the DV5 Da Vinci robot is a plus,
• Robotic experience required in general, GYN, thoracic, and urology specialties,
• Epic charting system experience required,
• Must complete and pass EKG exam within 72 hours of signing contract,

Additional Information

• May provide care for COVID-19 patients,
• Works in a tobacco and fragrance-free facility,
• Facility prefers RTO be minimized to a maximum of 7 days,
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel pay rate; local candidates offered at a lower rate,
• Travel pairs may be submitted together, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed,
• Required to complete pre-start training modules, which are billable and typically take 5-6 hours
