Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care nursing services to critically ill newborns in a Level III/IV NICU setting. Deliver comprehensive patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the clinical needs of neonatal patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage respiratory and respiratory equipment.
• Perform procedures such as PIV insertion, feeding tube insertion, lab draws, catheterization, and central line management.
• Assist respiratory therapists and providers with intubation, surfactant administration, and chest tube placement.
• Document patient information accurately in Centricity Perinatal and Meditech systems.
• Comply with unit policies, maintain patient safety, and participate in shift handovers.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least one year of NICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Level III/IV NICU procedures and patient care.
• Possess current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work 36 hours/week, including weekends and standby/call duties.
• Willingness to float to mother-baby units as needed.
