Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 10836 Temple Rd Dunkirk, NY 14048, USA Description CNA Trainee Rate: $17/hour Shift: Full-Time, Part-Time Schedule: Flexible Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add a CNA Trainee to its team. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and instructors, you'll learn the skills needed to provide compassionate care and support to residents in a skilled nursing environment. Responsibilities Participate in the facility's Certified Nursing Assistant training program Observe and learn resident care techniques, safety procedures, and infection control practices Assist with resident care activities as permitted under training program guidelines and supervision Practice CNA skills through demonstrations, return demonstrations, and supervised clinical experiences Communicate resident observations and concerns to nursing staff and instructors Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention protocols Attend all required classes, clinical training sessions, and educational activities Complete training assignments, skills evaluations, and competency requirements Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the training program Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a high school equivalency program preferred Interest in pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn Ability to follow directions and maintain professional conduct Must successfully meet all program and facility requirements for participation in CNA training Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full‑Time and Part‑Time Weekly or Same‑Day Pay Options Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Employee Referral Bonus Program Retirement Saving Options Education Preferred: High School or better.
