Industrial Mechanic

Hourly wage: $25.00/hr. - $35.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned on the goals and objectives for the team for each day. Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures. Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications. Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used. Strong mechanical aptitude and capability to use shop equipment (Drill Press, Pneumatic Hand Tools, Horizontal Bandsaw, cutting torch) Requires travel to job sites. Capable of working independently with little to no supervision. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school or mechanical certification preferred. Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with rotating equipment repair in an industrial environment. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators). Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures. Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and engineering drawings. Effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus. Valid driver's license; ability to travel to customer sites if needed. Working Conditions Work performed in shop and/or field settings with exposure to noise, grease, and rotating machinery.
