Longboards Williamsburg is looking for a dependable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing ingredients, keeping prep areas organized and helping the kitchen stay ready for busy service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces and other menu ingredients according to recipes
• Reading a prep sheet
• Keep the walk-in refrigerator organized and clean
• Wash, cut, portion, label and properly store food
• Maintain clean and organized prep and storage areas
• Follow food-safety, sanitation and temperature-control procedures
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low
• Assist cooks and other kitchen team members as needed
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties
• Work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or food-preparation experience is preferred, but we will train the right person
• Dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation
• Availability on [required days/times]
