Role Description The Agency Development Manager is a full‑time hybrid role based in the Greater St. Louis area, with a mix of in‑office and work‑from‑home flexibility. This role focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and developing a high‑performing team of benefits counselors and agency representatives. The Agency Development Manager will coach and mentor team members, set performance expectations, and track sales and activity metrics to drive growth in the territory. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers, brokers, and business partners to expand Colonial Life’s presence and deliver enrollment solutions. The role also involves leading enrollment strategies, supporting benefit education sessions, ensuring compliance with company standards, and collaborating with regional and home office teams to achieve business objectives. Qualifications Proven experience in sales leadership, agency development, or territory management, ideally in insurance, financial services, or related fields. Strong skills in building, coaching, and managing teams, including recruiting, training, and performance management. Ability to develop and execute sales and growth strategies, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and activity goals. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills for working with business owners, HR leaders, and internal stakeholders. High level of self‑motivation, organization, and time management, with the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment. Comfort with technology and digital tools used for virtual meetings, prospecting, reporting, and enrollment support. Insurance industry experience, including voluntary benefits or employee benefits, is strongly preferred; applicable state insurance license (or ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe) is required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the Greater St. Louis market and surrounding areas as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr Colonial Life
