Are you detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about food safety and quality? JM Farms is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure our fresh food products consistently meet company standards, customer expectations, and all applicable food safety requirements.
The QA Technician plays an important role in our production operation by monitoring processes, identifying potential quality or food safety issues, documenting findings, and working with supervisors and management to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Perform and document daily facility pre-inspections.
- Conduct and document daily scale accuracy checks.
- Monitor and record metal detector checks every hour.
- Perform product specification checks and immediately notify supervisors or managers of any out-of-specification product.
- Complete required QA and HACCP inspections and documentation.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure they are properly controlled and documented.
- Identify quality or food safety issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Monitor employees for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Document employee non-compliance when company rules, food safety requirements, or GMPs are not followed.
- Participate in food safety and quality audits.
- Conduct routine environmental sampling as directed.
- Maintain accurate and complete QA records and documentation.
- Communicate quality and food safety concerns effectively to supervisors and management.
- Support a strong food safety culture throughout the facility.
