Senior Spacecraft Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop reliable firmware for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
- Own software design, development, testing, and integration.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Write structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software in C++ for embedded processors.
- Build highly reliable and highly available software systems.
- Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- 5+ years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
- Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
- Preferred: experience with safety-critical software, especially aerospace applications.
- Preferred: experience with Python or Rust.
- Preferred: strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
