Current Opening: Physical Therapist — Folsom Our growing Folsom clinic is hiring a physical therapist for a regular part-time or full-time outpatient position. We are open to establishing a consistent schedule of anywhere from 20 to 40 hours per week, with the specific weekly commitment agreed upon during the hiring process. Once established, the position will have a predictable number of regularly scheduled hours rather than varying from week to week. The Folsom clinic is recently opened and continuing to establish its identity and reputation in the community. This is an opportunity not only to treat patients, but also to help shape how the clinic develops. The right clinician will have room to introduce ideas, develop an area of specialty practice, build new services, and make a meaningful contribution to the clinic’s growth. Schedule and Compensation Regular part-time or full-time position of 20–40 hours per week No weekends $80,000–$100,000 full-time-equivalent salary, based on clinical experience and expertise Entry-level full-time compensation begins at $80,000 Profitability-based bonus eligibility Flexible start date, ideally before spring 2027 Medical insurance and employer 401(k) matching are available to employees regularly scheduled for at least 30 hours per week, subject to applicable plan terms. Caseload and Patient Care The full‑time clinical target is approximately 50 patient visits per full working week, prorated for part‑time schedules. This generally equals approximately 10 visits during an eight‑hour clinical day. Evaluations are scheduled for one hour and are never overlapped Follow‑up treatments are one hour, typically staggered in 30‑minute start times The treatment model does not depend on physical therapy aides or technicians New clinicians build their caseload gradually by accepting new evaluations rather than being handed a full schedule immediately The clinic treats a broad patient population, including general orthopedic conditions, postoperative rehabilitation, sports injuries, older adults, vestibular and neurologic conditions, and chronic pain. Clinicians are also encouraged to develop a specialty or service area that interests them. We are open to new ideas and willing to support a motivated clinician who wants to build a program of their own. Mentorship and Clinical Community Newer clinicians receive scheduled weekly mentorship, with the amount of oversight, observation, and direct clinical overlap adjusted according to experience and individual needs. Case review and clinical reasoning Examination and treatment observation Manual‑skills practice Documentation and chart review Discussion and synthesis of current research Guidance selecting continuing‑education opportunities Support developing a specialty or new clinical program The Folsom clinic director is an Arcadia University DPT and orthopedic residency graduate, a Board‑Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, a clinical instructor, and an adjunct faculty member at Arcadia University. The clinician’s support system extends beyond the Folsom location. Our nearby Swarthmore team joins Folsom clinicians on Wednesdays for in‑services, continuing education, case discussion, and clinical development. Across the two locations, the clinician will have access to a five‑physical‑therapist support network that includes: Three residency‑trained physical therapists Three Board‑Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialists Experienced clinical instructors Clinicians involved in Arcadia University education and mentorship The level of direct supervision is tailored to the individual. A new graduate can expect greater overlap, observation, and guidance, while an experienced clinician will have more independence and room to develop their own clinical interests. Professional Development Optimum invests heavily in clinicians who are serious about continued development.
