The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) is an acclaimed human services organization and one of the nation's largest providers of housing and social services. CUCS provides integrated programs that link housing, health, and social services for individuals who are homeless, low-income, living with mental illness, or have other special needs in New York City.


CUCS invites applications for the Clinical Supervisor position for The Park House and Webster residence. CUCS provides services for 20 units at Park house and 90 units at The Webster formerly homeless and special needs individuals, including those living with HIV/AIDS. The site, located in the Tremont neighborhood in the Bronx and consists of two buildings located next to each other.

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a clinical services housing team comprised of a licensed social worker and four case managers. This position has significant decision making, supervisory, administrative, program management and service delivery responsibilities including but not limited to site management, program development, inter-team coordination and contract/policy compliance. This person will be expected to participate in and contribute to a program culture that is client-centered, outcome-oriented and dedicated to continuous quality improvement. The position requires a thorough understanding of relevant service delivery concepts and structures, including strong knowledge and experience working with the street homeless population.

Responsibilities:

• Clinical and administrative supervision of day to day operations of the building and clinical services team
• Oversight of the program's contractual obligations
• Maintenance of appropriate staff levels to ensure consistent service delivery to clients
• Review of referrals from outreach teams and coordination of intake
• Collaboration with building management and security staff around maintenance and other site-related matters
• On-call support to the program during evening and weekend hours

Clinical Supervisor 1

• Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required
• 2Years relevant pre or post Master's experience, required
• Post Master's experience preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Acceleration: LMSW or Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or Marriage and Family Therapy Limited Permit will count towards 1 year pre or post Masters experience

Clinical Supervisor 2

• Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required
• 3 Years relevant pre or post Master's experience, required
• 1 year Supervisory experience in any field, required
• Post Master's Experience preferred
• Acceleration: LMSW or Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or Marriage and Family Therapy Limited Permit will count towards 1 year pre or post Masters

Clinical Supervisor 3

• 2 years supervisory experience in any field required
• 4 years relevant pre or post Master's experience in social services required
• Post Master's experience preferred
• Acceleration: LMSW or Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or Marriage and Family Therapy Limited Permit will count towards 1 year pre or post Masters experience
• Or
• Upon obtaining LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
• Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required

Clinical Supervisor 4

• LCSW, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) plus 2 years post license experience
• 2 years pre or post-master's experience in supervisory experience

Or

• Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required
• 4 years supervisory experience in any field required
• 6 years relevant pre or post Master's experience in social services required
• Post Master's experience preferred
