Ketchie makes it easy for American manufactures by investing in machining technology, people, and processes so that they can focus on what they do best and have confidence in their supply chain.Ketchie Inc. is an AS9100 certified facility with capabilities that include collaborative robots, pallet automation, 5-axis machining, turning, milling, broaching, EDM, grinding, and gear cutting.Position Summary:The Machinist is responsible for programming, setup, operation, and inspection of precision CNC machined components to meet quality and production requirements. This role develops efficient machining programs, prepares machines for production, and ensures parts are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to specification. The ideal candidate is a skilled machinist who takes ownership of their work, understands machining processes, and contributes to continuous improvement across the shop floor.Key Responsibilities:CNC ProgrammingCreate and edit CNC programs using Mazatrol and/or CAM softwareDevelop efficient machining strategies to optimize cycle times and tool lifeReview part drawings and determine machining approach, tooling, and workholdingTroubleshoot and refine programs during first-run prove-outsMaintain organized and documented programs for repeat productionCNC Setup & OperationSet up CNC mills and/or lathes for production runsLoad tooling, fixtures, and materials according to setup documentationOperate machines to produce parts that meet required specificationsMonitor machine performance and make adjustments as neededMaintain safe and organized work areas around assigned machinesPart Inspection & QualityInspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicatorsVerify dimensions against prints and GD&T requirementsPerform in-process inspections to ensure consistent part qualityIdentify and report any non-conforming parts or process issuesProcess Improvement & TroubleshootingMonitor tool wear and replace tooling as requiredTroubleshoot machining issues and optimize processesRecommend improvements to tooling, fixturing, and machining strategiesWork with production leadership to improve cycle times and reliabilityDocumentation & CommunicationFollow setup sheets, work instructions, and job travelersDocument inspection results and production dataCommunicate machining issues, delays, or quality concerns promptlyCollaborate with programmers, engineers, and leadership when neededRequired Qualifications5+ years of CNC machining experienceExperience programming CNC machinesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&TExperience performing machine setups and prove-outsStrong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and cutting parametersExperience using precision measuring equipmentPreferred ExperienceExperience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controlsExperience with CAM software such as MastercamExperience machining tight-tolerance partsExperience in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing environmentsIdeal Candidate ProfileDetail-oriented and quality focusedStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsSelf-sufficient and comfortable owning complete machining processesOrganized and consistent in following proceduresTeam player who supports overall production goalsContinuous learner who stays current with machining technologyRewards and Benefits:Competitive salary401K plan with company matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceShort term disability insuranceLong term disability insuranceLife insuranceAccidental death and dismemberment insurancePaid vacation and holidaysYou should be proficient in:CNC ProgrammingAS9100Machines & technologies you'll use:CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Mazak)CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak)CAM Software (Mazatrol, Mastercam)CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Mazak) #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
