Retail Pharmacist

PharmacistCentral Maine Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled pharmacist to join our collaborative retail team. Central Maine Healthcare supports professional growth, continuing education, and innovation in pharmacy practice while serving a diverse patient population—including rural and medically complex communities throughout Maine.Responsibilities include assisting the retail pharmacy manager in outpatient pharmacy operations, coordinating the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include general medicine/surgical, intensive care services, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, emergency care, oncology, perioperative, geriatrics, and outpatient services including immunizations, meds to beds, and coordination with pharmacotherapy, population health, and specialty pharmacy teams.Qualifications include a current state registered pharmacist license, a B.S. degree in pharmacy or PharmD, at least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred, strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required, experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required, APhA immunization certification and BLS required, experience working with ambulatory pharmacy teams preferred, and 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility).Employment status is full time with variable shifts.Equal employment opportunity: Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
