Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Barclays Center’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.* Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes.* Ensures that wiring and fixtures conform to company specifications and local electrical codes.* Ensures OSHA compliance on all electrical work.* Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.* Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.* Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.* Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.* Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.* Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.* Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.* Maintains time and production records.* Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.* Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.* Sets up machines and equipment.* Performs activities of workers supervised.**CANDIDATE PROFILE: Who You Are*** Trade school degree minimum: college degree preferred* 5 years’ experience in electrical* Or equivalent combination of education and experience* Master Electrician or Special Electrician License Required**KEY COMPETENCIES: Skills You Possess*** Knowledge of national electrical codes* Knowledge of OSHA regulations* Excellent organization skills* Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously* Strong problem-solving skills required* Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management* Ability to effectively supervise staff* Strong customer service skills* Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic* Some knowledge of computers**Barclays Center/Legends Global reserves the right to change or modify the employee's job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship.
