We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, cookies and other baked items while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

We have been in business for over 65 years and have many tried and true recipes. We require that you follow these to the exact detail to ensure consistency of the product. We do on occasion implement new items and recipes and your input is appreciated in the development of new items.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair using various techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients; assist with ordering as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
• Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
• Adhere to all food handling guidelines to ensure safety and quality.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including baking methods and pastry creation.
• Familiarity with food handling practices within the food industry.
• Experience in cake decorating is a plus.
• Background in culinary arts or catering can be beneficial.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
