Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for a travel leadership assignment. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting clinical staff, and leading nursing teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and oversee nursing operations and clinical services
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and department leaders
Monitor quality assurance and patient care outcomes
Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care
Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence

Assignment Details

Start Date: 06/03/2026

End Date: 07/15/2026

Shift: Day Shift

Shift Time: 07:00 AM 03:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Contract Length: Approximately 7 Weeks

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

3 5 years of nursing leadership experience required
Previous Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or equivalent leadership experience preferred
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must comply with onboarding requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required per facility policy
