Calhoun's Maryville is looking for Cooks to join our kitchen team!
If you enjoy a fast-paced kitchen, working with a great crew, and taking pride in putting out quality food, we want to meet you. Our cooks are at the heart of what we do. You'll work alongside a hardworking team preparing the food our guests know and love while keeping the kitchen organized, clean, and ready for the next rush.
What You'll DoOur line positions include Window, Grill, Salad, and Fry , giving you the opportunity to learn multiple areas of the kitchen.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Calhoun's recipes and standards
- Set up and maintain your station for a successful shift
- Work quickly and efficiently during busy service periods
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain food safety standards
- Keep your station clean, organized, and sanitary
- Properly use and care for kitchen equipment
- Learn new menu items, features, and specials
- Communicate and work together with the rest of the kitchen team
- Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly
We're looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first mentality to every shift.
- Kitchen or line cook experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn matters
- Able to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality
- Comfortable using a digital scale and thermometer
- Basic math skills and understanding of kitchen measurements and conversions
- Able to work on your feet throughout the shift, including standing, walking, and bending
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally more with assistance
- Dependable, hardworking, and able to keep up in a fast-paced kitchen
- Team player with a good attitude and a sense of humor
