Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Behavioral Health Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/25/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Behavioral Health RN – Ohio Start Date: September 25, 2026 Location: Cleveland, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; Geriatric Psychiatry Highlights: Geriatric behavioral health focus in an acute care setting Responsibilities include milieu management, medication management, patient assessments, and documentation ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation Extension opportunities available for up to 18 months Pre-start modules required (average 6-15 hours) COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Requirements: 18 months of recent behavioral health experience in an acute care setting (non-psychiatric facility required) 18 months of permanent experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric) Active Ohio or Compact RN license in hand at time of application Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in behavioral health from the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted) All certifications must be active at time of submission Clear background check and license verification required; no open cases accepted Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an excellent chance to work with a specialized geriatric psychiatric population in a dynamic acute care environment.
