Quality Control Technician

Quality Control TechnicianQPS Employment Group has a great Quality Control Technician position at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This is a night shift position with the opportunity for hire.Quality Control Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Inspect products throughout production to ensure quality standards are met.Complete Quality Control (QC) audits during the shift, typically 3 to 4 audits per shift.Perform Start of Job and Start of Shift Quality Validation Checklists.Collect and maintain quality samples as required.Provide break coverage for Machine Operators and help ensure machine coverage throughout the shift.Generate labels and pallet tags in coordination with Scheduling, Purchasing, and Production leadership.Assist with inventory counts and floor count activities.Sign off on pallet tags and maintain accurate production documentation.Update daily production logs and quality records.Assist the Production Supervisor in identifying and resolving quality concerns.Support the investigation and resolution of machine continuity and production issues.Promote and uphold the company's core values.Quality Control Technician Requirements:Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Strong commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.Ability to follow established quality procedures and documentation requirements.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding product quality.Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and production documentation.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Reliable attendance and punctuality.Ability to identify quality issues and communicate findings effectively.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift.Ability to perform visual inspections of products with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move production samples, labels, and materials.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around production equipment.Ability to perform repetitive quality checks and documentation tasks.About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
