Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN Company: HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital Location: Brooksville, Florida Job Summary Assist patients with respiratory support across a variety of care settings. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while managing invasive and noninvasive ventilation. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities Operate acute care ventilators for short and long‑term mechanical ventilation. Maintain accurate records and enter data into hospital computer systems. Perform procedures with care, empathy and professionalism. Assess respiratory status, deliver evidence‑based therapy, manage ventilation and airways, support patients and the care team, and maintain equipment safety. Qualifications Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure. American Heart Association BLS (required); ACLS, PALS, NRP within 6 months of hire. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care). Ability to work independently and in a stressful environment. Strong critical‑thinking, judgment and customer service skills. Physical stamina for frequent standing, bending, reaching, kneeling and moving equipment. Additional Requirements Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment. Neonate Resuscitation within 30 days of employment. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of employment. Associate Degree in Respiratory Care (or equivalent). Registered, Certified, or RRT credentials as specified.
