The work you do helps support your fellow employee owners, keeps our transportation operations moving, and contributes to the overall success of our company.If you're someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, working with a team, and taking pride in a job well done, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact and grow your career with an employee-owned organization.What You'll DoSupport Fleet Maintenance Operations: Assist Fleet Mechanics and maintenance technicians with general shop activities, preparing vehicles and equipment for service, handling materials, and performing basic maintenance support tasks.Maintain & Detail Company Vehicles: Wash, clean, sanitize, and detail company trucks, trailers, vehicles, and equipment to maintain cleanliness, appearance, and operational readiness.Coordinate Vehicle & Equipment Transportation: Pick up, deliver, and reposition company vehicles and equipment between company locations, maintenance facilities, and vendors as authorized.Assist with Parts & Inventory: Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and equipment while helping maintain organized shop inventory and communicating supply needs.Maintain Facilities & Grounds: Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and general property upkeep.Keep Work Areas Safe & Organized: Maintain clean and organized maintenance shops, vehicle wash areas, storage spaces, and surrounding facilities while following established safety practices.Support Company & Community Events: Assist with company parades, community events, and special activities, including vehicle preparation, transportation, setup, and teardown.Contribute to Team Projects: Support special projects and additional operational needs across Fleet Maintenance, Logistics, Warehouse, and other areas of the organization.What's In It For Me?Our remarkable employees are at the heart of everything we do. Our team members benefit from the success of the company through this company-sponsored benefit!Education benefits including tuition discount and scholarship programsAdditional Voluntary Benefits – such as vision, accident and critical illness insurancesIf you're hired or promoted into a full-time position with our company, you will also be eligible for: Medical & Dental Insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Tuition Reimbursement, Adoption Reimbursement, Paid Family Caregiver Leave, as well as company-sponsored Term Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, and Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance!QualificationsEducation and Experience:Must be at least 18 years of age.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in vehicle cleaning, fleet support, grounds maintenance, general labor, or a related field preferred.Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, shop operations, or equipment operation preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn vehicle maintenance and shop support procedures.Ability to safely operate vehicle cleaning equipment, grounds maintenance equipment, and basic hand and power tools.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing changing priorities.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, established safety procedures, and proper cleaning and chemical handling practices.Basic computer and technology skills, including email, mobile devices, and the ability to learn company systems.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and meet company vehicle operation and insurance eligibility requirements.Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred; required when operating vehicles for which a CDL is legally required.Ability to perform physical work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment.Ability to work outside standard business hours as operational needs require.We believe that building a team of people with different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences and perspectives inspires fresh thinking and opens us up to new possibilities.
