Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Location: Santa Monica 90404 Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Required Certifications: BLS & Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a healthcare team in Santa Monica, CA. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff by providing both administrative and patient care assistance in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information Perform basic clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and phlebotomy as permitted Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Clean and prepare exam rooms and maintain medical equipment Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care instructions Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Requirements Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required Current BLS certification required Previous outpatient, clinic, or physician office experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting EMR/EHR experience preferred WEEKLY TRAVEL PAY PACKAGE (resides out of 50+ miles) for (40hrs) Gross Pay: $ 1412.00 / Week W2 / Taxable Pay: $ 680.00 / Week Per Diem: $ 732.00 / Week Local Pay: $20-$25/hr
