Registered Nurse - PCU - Days

Position Description The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The RN is also responsible for professional accountability and development. Responsibilities Collaborates and communicates with interdisciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care. Organizes, prioritizes, and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit. Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
