David Jones CPA PC (DJCPA) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an EEO Investigative Aide I (IA-1) .

DJCPA provides specialized Equal Employment Opportunity investigative services to federal government agencies. Because federal EEO investigations are a highly specialized field, prior EEO investigative experience is not required . DJCPA will provide training to the successful candidate.

This position is intended for an early-career professional with strong administrative, computer, organizational, and written communication skills who seeks to develop expertise in federal EEO investigative support.

The EEO Investigative Aide works under the direction of experienced EEO Investigators. The aide assists with case administration, document management, correspondence, scheduling, recordkeeping, and other investigative support activities. This is a support position and does not independently make investigative findings, credibility determinations, or legal conclusions.

Work Location and Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position in McDonough, Georgia. It is not a remote position.

DJCPA's local business office is a professional, private residential home office environment . Candidates must be comfortable working in a professional office located within a private residence.

The work area is used for DJCPA business operations. Because the company handles sensitive federal EEO matters, employees are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and information security.

The exact office address will be provided to candidates selected for the interview process.

Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of McDonough and be able to report to the office as scheduled reliably.

Primary Responsibilities

The EEO Investigative Aide I will receive training and work from established procedures, templates, checklists, and assignments. Responsibilities may include:

• Creating and maintaining electronic case folders and approved subfolders; organizing and naming documents according to established procedures.
• Entering case assignments, contacts, deadlines, receipt dates, and other information into case-management trackers.
• Preparing routine professional correspondence from approved templates for investigator review.
• Tracking response dates, deadlines, affidavits, exhibits, authorizations, and outstanding document requests.
• Scheduling interviews and meetings, confirming appointments, and maintaining accurate witness and contact information.
• Sending authorized reminders and following up on outstanding administrative matters.
• Converting, combining, organizing, paginating, bookmarking, and reviewing PDF documents.
• Reviewing documents for legibility, completeness, consistency, and proper organization.
• Assisting with the preparation and organization of exhibits and other components of investigative case files.
• Proofreading correspondence and case materials for accuracy, formatting, spelling, and completeness.
• Maintaining organized electronic records and assisting investigators in keeping cases on schedule.
• Protecting personally identifiable information (PII), confidential employee information, and sensitive federal case materials.
• Learning DJCPA procedures, federal EEO terminology, investigative workflow, and quality-control requirements.
• Performing other investigative-support and administrative duties assigned by an investigator or supervisor.

These responsibilities reflect DJCPA's IA-1 structure, which emphasizes case folders, trackers, correspondence, scheduling, PDF production, document tracking, proofreading, and protection of sensitive information.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The successful candidate should have strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills; professional written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions.

Candidates should be comfortable using computers and electronic records and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel . Candidates must also be willing to learn Adobe Acrobat/PDF document management functions and other DJCPA case management systems.

The position requires discretion, reliability, confidentiality, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a willingness to have work closely reviewed as you learn the position. DJCPA's IA-1 qualification standard specifically emphasizes Microsoft 365/PDF capabilities, accuracy, confidentiality, and, preferably, administrative or legal support experience.

Preferred Background

Prior federal EEO experience is not required. We are interested in candidates with transferable experience in administrative support, office administration, records management, customer service, HR assistance, legal support, insurance or claims processing, medical office administration, payroll/accounting support, or similar detail-oriented work.

Recent college graduates, current college students with appropriate availability, and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.

Experience working with confidential records, scheduling appointments, tracking deadlines, preparing professional correspondence, proofreading documents, maintaining electronic files, or using Microsoft 365 is helpful.

Employees who master IA-1 duties and demonstrate accuracy, reliability, good judgment, and knowledge of the federal EEO process may become eligible for advancement to higher Investigative Aide levels. DJCPA's established career ladder provides progression from IA-1 administrative/document support into more advanced case-development responsibilities.

You do not need to know about federal EEO investigations already. We are looking for someone with the aptitude and interest in learning a specialized professional field and growing with DJCPA .

Important

This position is EEO Investigative Aide I , not an independent EEO Investigator position.

The employee works under the supervision of an assigned investigator or supervisor. Investigative Aides do not independently conduct substantive witness examinations, make credibility determinations, determine investigative sufficiency, issue legal conclusions, or make findings of discrimination. External correspondence and substantive work products are reviewed and approved before release.
