Boiler Technician

Key Responsibilities: Monitor boiler systems, operating conditions, gauges, pressures, temperatures, and other systemreadings. Troubleshoot boiler and utility system problems and perform necessary repairs. Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment. Diagnose mechanical and equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions. Maintain and repair heating, plumbing, electrical, and other facility systems. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting involving hydraulics and pneumatics. Assist with refrigeration system maintenance and troubleshooting. Inspect equipment and systems to identify potential problems before equipment failure occurs. Complete assigned preventive maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records. Follow established operating procedures, written maintenance instructions, and safetyrequirements. Support production operations by responding to equipment problems and minimizing equipmentdowntime. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow plant safety and food-processingrequirements. Qualifications: 2nd Class B Boilers License required, or ability to obtain the license within 90 days of hire. 2-3 years of previous industrial maintenance experience preferred. Food-processing or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with industrial equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to follow technical and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment and facility issues. Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus. Knowledge or experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The position pays $27.00-$34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus an additional $1.00 per hour night-shift differential.
