The primary role of a warehouse worker involves receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Team player and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of experience required.

This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by shipping out millions of life-saving prescriptions daily. Employees work in a laid-back, casual environment where they can listen to music while working. The role requires a sense of urgency and purpose, as timely delivery of prescriptions is critical.

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled and clean, providing a comfortable working environment. Workers can wear casual attire, including jeans, khakis, t-shirts, and closed-toe shoes. However, there are restrictions on certain clothing items such as sleeveless shirts, shorts, and ripped jeans. The facility operates on a flexible shift schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mechanicsville,VA.
