Step into a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher at a school near Lansing, IL, supporting a dedicated community of learners. You'll work with a caseload of up to 20 preschool-aged students, utilizing your expertise and passion to help each child thrive.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Preschool endorsement required
- Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to preschool students with special needs
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs tailored to students’ unique learning goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to support holistic development
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training sessions
