Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub across a high-volume OR environment averaging 35–50 cases per day, with an expectation for turnovers of less than 20 minutes
• Provide 1:1 patient care across multiple service lines including Cardiac/Peripheral Vascular, Neurology, Orthopedic Trauma, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery, Pediatrics, and Transplants
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuro-navigation technology, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
• Float across multiple campuses as needed to support OR staffing demands
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekend call from end of shift Friday through 6:30 AM Monday
• Work 1–2 winter holidays unless the unit is closed during that period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Operating Room experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized)
• Circulating experience in the OR is required
• Experience in General Surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases is required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years is required
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission required
• Active BLS certification through AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 15 months — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the OR is highly preferred
• Trauma Level I experience is highly preferred
• Additional case experience in Neurology, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, and ENT is highly preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months is preferred
