Southeast: Always the Right Career DirectionTo effectively and efficiently manage and direct clinic personnel functions working closely with the Director or Administrator and the medical Provider(s) to ensure that the clinic is adhering to the standardized hospital policies and to assure financial accountability through balance productivity and cost containment. This position directly oversees and supervises all non-clinical staff in the clinic and provides administrative supervision of the clinical staff.Job DescriptionEssential FunctionsManages all team members (within scope); oversees the daily operations of the clinic; hires, trains, problem-solves, scheduling, and assigning work.Performs time keeping for payroll, and attendance.Manage promotions, transfers, demotions, disciplinary actions and terminations.Assists the Director with strategic planning and budgeting.Monitors and coaches staff (within scope) to achieve positive patient care outcomes.Audits clinic documentation and ensures accuracy and data integrity.Responsible for covering clerical positions and supporting patient throughput during times of need. (within scope)Orients, trains and assists in the annual performance evaluation of section personnel according to guidelines established by Management and Human Resources.Gather and report data for routine quality initiatives.Plan and prepare for staff and provider meetingsAssists with primary source verification of clinical staff;Oversees the inventory system to ensure appropriate and adequate supply levels to meet department requirements; submits supply requests in accordance with section budget requirements and purchasing requirements.Maintains strict staff and patient confidentiality as mandated by state, local and federal guidelines (HIPAA).Assists with staff adjustments in the time recording system, to include vacation requests and leave requests.Assists Director with all SEH compliance requirements such as vaccination, CBL's, and Surveys.Keeps Director continuously updated of quality improvement, project status, barriers and outcomes.Maintain a service excellence culture with high expectations established to gain patient loyalty.Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment according to established organizational standards.Performs other duties as requested by primary manager that do not compromise moral code of conduct or protocols set in place for patient or employee safetySupervised PositionsClerical StaffMay include clinical staff Clinical supervision is administrative or as allowed by scopeQualificationsMinimum Education RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum Education PreferredBachelor's degreeMinimum Experience RequiredOne (1) year of supervisory experience in practice managementOR, demonstrated ability of complex problem solving, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and strong decision making that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment according to established standards.Minimum Experience PreferredThree (3) years' experience, previous practice management experience.Required Knowledge/ Skills/ AbilitiesPersonal management skillsWorking knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codingKnowledge of the features and functions of billing office computer systemExperience in accounts receivable managementAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingAbility to communicate effectively in emergency situationsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with office staff, clinic staff and hospital staffWorking knowledge of Clinicians or experience with clinical and clerical personnelDemonstrates knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities as applicable to the health care environmentLeadership ability in operational settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinic staff, interdepartmental staff and physiciansStrong technical/computer skillsDemonstrates appropriate delegation and coordination of tasks and duties in the operations of physician clinic, using appropriate organizational/priority setting skillsRecognizes and employs team efforts to achieve departmental/organizational goals.Encourages and promotes positive behaviors in coworkers.Demonstrates ability to work with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers regardless of race, gender, disease process, lifestyle, religious or cultural beliefsRespect and caring demonstrated in words, action, and body language to all patients and clinic staff.Accepts accountability for his/her own work and team outcomes when appropriate.Demonstrates responsibility for educational requirements as evidenced by reading all assigned related references, and attending all required educational meetings, or webinars, and completing annual Symplr requirements.Demonstrates commitment to organizations five (5) priorities Employee EngagementPatient SatisfactionQualityPhysician FriendlyFinancial StrengthPerson in this position is required to understand, agree upon and follow our Six Ground Rules: No excuses.We are a team.Bring up your ideas.Poor performance will be addressed.'That's not my job' is not acceptableManage Up.ShiftDayShift DetailsFTE1TypeRegularJoin One of Forbes 500 Best Mid-Sized Employers in AmericaEqual Employment EmployerSoutheast Health is committed to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
