About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of Telemetry experience License: Valid NC or Compact license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Required charting experience with EPIC Description: Targeted start date options available. No blocked scheduling. Thanksgiving requests for time off will not be approved for this unit. This position requires experience in Med/Surg Telemetry. The role includes accessing and managing ports and administering blood products. Candidates must demonstrate experience in telemetry monitoring and managing cardiac drips without titration. Experience with tracheostomy care, wound care, and using rapid response/code teams is essential. Familiarity with patient management for cerebrovascular accidents, renal failure, and substance withdrawal is required. Candidates must be able to start and maintain IVs, manage central lines, and provide post-operative care for cardiac procedures. Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and continuous bladder irrigation is necessary. This position requires working every other weekend. Interdisciplinary support may include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates must have a supervisory reference with their submission. Attendance will be monitored, with a limit of three absences per contract. Compliance with all requirements and timely response is essential for the continuation of the assignment.
