Description: Background checks must be disclosed at the time of submission. Appropriate certification includes one of the following: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist, or Registered Vascular Specialist. If certified in Cardiac, perform all non-invasive imaging procedures in Cardiac Graphics, including echocardiograms, TEE s, TTE s, stress echo, and structural heart imaging. If certified in Vascular, perform all non-invasive imaging procedures in Vascular Laboratories, including upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis graphs, venous insufficiencies, pulse volume recordings, and ankle-brachial index. Perform proper billing of procedures and prioritize patient scheduling. Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely procedure completion. Prior to testing, obtain information necessary for specific procedures to be performed. Answer pertinent questions from patients about procedures and remain courteous to patients and their families 100% of the time. Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures within established guidelines and time frames. Notify appropriate medical staff if images appear to deviate from normal images. Document procedures performed in the patient chart to inform the physician of the test completion. Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures from procedure data to aid the physician in interpreting results and achieving a diagnosis. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas. Complete accurate documentation to ensure proper billing. Maintain confidentiality of patient and unit information as monitored by supervision.
