Security OfficerThis is an in-house/proprietary position that is eligible for benefits and paid time off. The ultimate parent organization of 918 Security, LLC is the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF). As a Security Officer at Gathering Place, you will provide safety and security to our guests and fellow team members. Providing a secure environment while giving world class guest service to internal and external customers will be the cornerstone of the Security Department. With over 70 acres of outdoor activities, play elements, and inspiring sites to explore, the Gathering Place will be a one-of-a-kind public park for the public to enjoy. Members of the security team will enhance the park experience for all.Essential Functions:Provide a unique and top-tier level of guest satisfaction by embracing Gathering Place culture as directedUphold and operate within policies and procedures on a continuous basis to ensure safety, efficiency and guest satisfactionBe courteous and initiate positive interaction with park guestsAnswer guest questions and provide direction for park elementsPatrol assigned zones in the park and support areas ensuring security protocol and tasks are completedPositively ensure park rules, regulations and law violations are resolved in a manner that aligns with the principles of the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the spirit of Gathering PlaceIdentify and report suspicious/unusual events and behaviorsReport to any park calls the may need security assistance in a timely mannerEffectively structure and write incident reports and other written documents necessaryTake direction from key park leaders to include our senior leadership team, Security Manager, Director of Operations and our park Manager on DutyAssist local public service personnel as needed to ensure the safety and security of park guest, team members and the general publicMonitor park and facilities using video camera system, alarms and personal inspectionGrant remote access to facilities for deliveries and emergency vehiclesCommunicate with emergency services on behalf of the park and communicate vital detailsProvide assistance and direction to personnel calling into security dispatchMaintain park protocol logs and daily paperworkUsing computer-based weather tracking software, observe and report current weather conditions to managerAttend scheduled in-service training to maintain and enhance skill levelAssist in maintaining a high degree of cleanliness and organization to the park and assigned areasAssist park personnel as neededMust be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need including open, mid, closing shifts, overnights, weekends, and holidaysMaintain a professional appearance that meets Gathering Place grooming standardsPerform other duties as assignedPhysical Demands:Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions varied from very hot to very cold based on season. The noise level greatly varies based on attendance, programming, and location in parkMust be able to provide walking patrol of large areas of the parkMust be able to respond quickly to in park calls and emergenciesMust be able to walk/stand for long periods of timeThe ability to frequently lift 50 pounds individually, and 100 pounds with assistanceBasic Qualifications:Desire and ability to enhance The Gathering Place brand and uphold Gathering Place valuesMust be at least 18 years oldMust have a high school diploma or equivalentMust have and maintain a valid state's driver's licenseMust be able to complete provided CPR training and certificationMust have strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use Windows based programs and Microsoft OfficeMust have excellent observation skills and have a strong attention to detailMust have the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions and exercise discretion/authorityCandidate must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Phase I & II Security License or be able to obtain the license within 90 days of employment by successfully completing all required training, testing, licensing, and application requirements.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a security environmentPrior guest service or hospitality experienceSafety-Sensitive:This is a safety-sensitive position.
