Job Details Location: East Norriton School - East Norriton Township, PA 19401. Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00 hourly. Job Type: Full Time (30+ hours per week). Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents and visitors. Maintain attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board updated regularly. Create and implement thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with weekly themes and Celebree's curriculum; manage effective classroom transitions. Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques. Ensure appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained. Accurately complete all classroom paperwork, e.g., Daily Reports, accident reports, attendance records. Provide support and direction to assistant teacher to ensure the classroom functions orderly. Communicate effectively with parents: greet by name, address concerns promptly, give positive feedback, and provide regular updates on child development and classroom happenings. Identify opportunities or problems in the classroom or center and work with the assistant teacher and/or director to resolve. Physical Demands The job requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting and carrying; ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or human services field. A bachelor’s degree with 30 credit hours in the above fields and 1 year of experience with children. An associate’s degree in the above fields and 2 years of experience with children.
