Kansas City Current is seeking an Accounting Analyst that will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a proven track record of detail and accuracy. The Accounting Analyst will support all elements of the accounting function. What will you do? Complete month-end close activities to ensure a timely close Complete balance sheet account reconciliations on timely basis Create, monitor and post prepaid and accrual entries Assist the accounts payable and receivable functions Maintain financial reporting for match day related revenue and expenses Support preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis of actual to budget throughout the year Support modeling and actual reporting for third party stadium events Assist in gathering and preparing information for the annual financial audit Assist with other external and internal reporting What do you need to succeed? Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting or finance 2+ years of accounting experience High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams Must possess the ability to work independently, make decisions, take appropriate actions, and follow through tasks to completion within a fast‑paced environment with deadlines Preferred Public accounting experience Experience with Microsoft Dynamics-Business Central and Solver Reporting Advanced excel skills Special Requirements Of The Job Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
