Sales Manager

Griffith Ford is looking for an experienced motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our growing team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales department developing our sales team maximizing customer satisfaction and driving profitable vehicle sales.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands the automotive sales business knows how to hold a team accountable and can create a positive high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead motivate coach and develop the sales team to achieve monthly sales and gross-profit objectives.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the sales department.
• Work closely with Sales Consultants to improve closing ratios appointment show rates CSI gross profit and overall performance.
• Monitor and manage incoming internet phone and showroom traffic.
• Assist with customer negotiations and resolve escalated customer concerns professionally.
• Review and manage sales opportunities follow-up activity appointments and unsold customers.
• Ensure sales processes and dealership procedures are followed consistently.
• Work with the General Sales Manager and General Manager to establish and achieve monthly goals.
• Analyze sales reports performance metrics inventory and market conditions to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and promote a customer-first sales environment.
• Assist with hiring onboarding training and ongoing development of sales personnel.
• Conduct sales meetings one-on-ones and performance coaching.
• Help maintain accurate CRM activity and ensure proper follow-up processes are being followed.
• Work closely with the F&I department service department and other dealership departments to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain a professional organized and energetic showroom environment.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies manufacturer requirements and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• 2 years of automotive sales management experience preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability goals.
• Strong knowledge of automotive sales processes and dealership operations.
• Excellent communication leadership and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coach and motivate a diverse sales team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working with CRM and dealership management systems.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced performance-driven environment.
