Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position located in Holmdel, New Jersey. This role involves applying the nursing process to care for veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. The OR nurse ensures proper documentation reflects assessments, treatment plans, clinical interventions, and patient responses. Additionally, the nurse supervises and evaluates non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No call, weekends, or holidays.

• Required Qualifications:

  • ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree or higher
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Certification
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital operating room
  • Ability to scrub (general) and circulate all types of cases
  • Competent in General Surgery (laparoscopic and robotic), orthopedics/spine/podiatry, urology, ENT, and vascular procedures
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel

• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.
