No professional sewing experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate in machine operation, garment alterations, and repair techniques for uniforms and other garments issued to cadets.
• Perform garment alterations and repairs under supervision
• Inspect garments and identify repairs or adjustments needed
• Maintain quality standards and attention to detail
• Communicate professionally with cadets, faculty, staff, and supervisors
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Work both independently and as part of a team Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate will:
• Be friendly, professional, and customer-service oriented
• Have strong attention to detail
• Be dependable, self-motivated, and maintain a positive attitude
• Be able to sit for extended periods of time
• Possess basic computer skills
• Have basic math skills, including adding and subtracting measurements
• Be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
• Be willing to learn new skills Additional Considerations
• Basic comfort with a sewing machine or hand sewing is preferred, but not required
