OR RN – Job Description

Location : Santa Rosa, CA
Department : Operating Room (OR)
Shift : 3x12 Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Duration : 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required (5 years preferred)
• Previous travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• BLS required
• Epic charting experience required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity Operating Room setting
• Circulate a wide variety of surgical procedures including trauma, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, general surgery, ENT, urology, bariatric, and robotic-assisted cases
• Assist with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical procedures preferred
• Maintain sterile field, surgical safety standards, and infection control practices
• Handle surgical instrumentation, equipment setup, specimen labeling, and blood product administration
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams during surgical procedures
• Respond effectively to emergency situations including trauma and code response
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic EMR system
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to perioperative protocols throughout all phases of care
