EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to become part of our established, hospital-based team. This role involves leading a medically directed program that supervises four Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

• The base salary starts at $552,465, which aligns with the 50th percentile of MGMA for recent graduates, with additional compensation based on experience.

* For candidates who are not yet board certified, the salary will be adjusted to reflect a 5% reduction, with an increase upon certification.

CONTRACT DETAILS:

• Vacation: 272 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO)
• Continuing Medical Education (CME): 5 days of PTO and up to $5,000 for educational resources
• Deferred Compensation: Participation in a 457b plan, allowing deferral of up to $23,500 annually before taxes, with no employer match.
• Retirement/Savings Plan: A 403b plan that permits deferral of up to $23,500 annually before taxes for those under 50, and $31,000 for those over 50, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 2% of base salary.
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 paid directly to the moving company
• Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 in aggregate
• Health Insurance: A small premium deducted from the paycheck
• Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for two years, or a penalty equivalent to one year’s salary
• On-Call Compensation Program: Details provided by the CFO
• Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000, with $25,000 per year for each year of service commitment
• Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent on a two-year service commitment
• Signing Bonus: 15% of the base salary, capped at $100,000, payable upon contract signing and forgiven over 2 to 4 years based on the bonus amount
• Performance Bonuses: Attractive bonus opportunities up to 10% of salary

PRACTICE INFORMATION:

• Location: Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with cases commencing at 7:30 a.m. and potentially extending beyond 3:30 p.m. for additional surgeries)
• Staff Composition: 8 Anesthesiologists and 18 CRNAs
• Call Schedule:
  • Shared call with 2 CRNAs
  • Weekday call is 1:5, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Weekend call is also 1:5, from Friday 7:00 a.m. to Monday 7:00 a.m.
  • Post-call day off
  • Participation in the Pay for Call program (CERP)
• Case Load:
  • Varied based on room assignments, including:
  • General Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Vascular Surgery
  • OB/Maternity
  • ENT
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedics
  • Urology
  • Minimal Pediatric Cases
  • No Neurosurgery
  • No Cardiac Surgery
  • No Spine Surgery
