Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI scans, including inpatient, ICU, and ER patients. The role requires proficiency in operating MRI equipment and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI scanners to acquire diagnostic images according to authorized protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and safety screening.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Document procedures and results accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Adhere to safety standards, including radiation protection and infection control.
• Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to provide high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT certification or ARMRIT certification, with NY state license including injection rights.
• Possess at least 3 years of MRI technologist experience, capable of independent operation.
• Proficient in routine MRI exams, excluding specialized procedures like breast, cardiac, or prostate MRI.
• Demonstrate strong patient care and communication skills.
• Maintain BLS certification.
