Rightech is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Low Voltage Technician in Waukesha, WI starting ASAP.
Job Title: Lead Low Voltage Technician
Location: Waukesha, WI
Duration: Contract to Hire
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to lead a small crew while performing hands-on structured cabling work. The primary focus will be pulling, terminating, testing, and labeling CAT6 cable while ensuring the crew maintains quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct a small crew of Low Voltage Technicians.
- Pull, route, and install CAT6 cable.
- Terminate CAT6 cable at patch panels, jacks, and other endpoints.
- Test and troubleshoot CAT6 cabling to verify proper performance.
- Label and organize cabling according to project requirements.
- Read and follow drawings, cable plans, and project specifications.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor crew progress.
- Ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
- Communicate with site management and address field issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous low voltage/structured cabling experience required.
- Strong hands-on experience pulling, terminating, and testing CAT6 cable.
- Previous lead or crew-lead experience preferred.
- Ability to read cable plans, drawings, and project documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to lead a small crew while remaining hands-on in the field.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
