At Progressive Directions, Inc. , we don’t just provide services—we help people live meaningful, independent lives. And as a Personal Assistant (PA) , you’ll be right there, one-on-one, making that happen.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

This role is hands-on, heart-first, and purpose-driven. You will:

• Support one individual in their daily life; this is personalized care, not a group setting
• Help build independence, confidence, and life skills
• Assist with personal care, daily routines, and mobility when needed
• Support medication routines (per policy)
• Get out into the community, like shopping, events, activities, real-life stuff
• Help plan a meaningful day based on what THEY want, not a cookie-cutter schedule
• Keep documentation accurate (notes, logs, etc.)
• Be their advocate, their support system, and honestly… part of their circle

Bottom line: You’re helping someone live life on their terms, not just “getting through the day".

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED (preferred, not required)
• Valid driver’s license (TN, KY, or AL) + clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• TB test within the last 12 months (we’ll send you for one if needed)
• Strong communication + ability to follow directions
• Willingness to complete required training

Physical Requirements

• Active role: standing, walking, assisting with mobility
• Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• This is not a desk job—you’ll be moving and engaging all day
