Transportation Specialist

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia. What We Are Looking For Basic Qualifications Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR Experience that demonstrated a knowledge of the transportation function(s) of the position to be filled. AND Minimum Qualifications You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Managing transportation and logistics operations supporting the movement of equipment and critical resources during emergency and non-emergency response activities; Planning and coordinating transportation support requirements by analyzing logistics needs, developing transportation solutions, and ensuring compliance with Federal transportation policies and procedures; and Administering transportation programs and contracts, monitoring contractor performance, and coordinating transportation services to support organizational objectives and mission requirements.
