Manufacturing Quality Inspector

A growing manufacturing operation in Phoenix is expanding its quality team and seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Quality Inspector with experience inspecting mechanical components in a production environment. What You Will Do Inspect cast housings, gear trains, shafts, drums, and hydraulic control components after teardown and wash for cracks, wear, distortion, and reusable condition. Use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to compare parts against dimensional standards and internal acceptance criteria. Decide whether material should be released for reuse, routed for repair or machining, or removed from circulation. Document findings in the production system to support traceability, throughput, and trend analysis. Partner with teardown, machining, assembly, and technical teams to flag repeat failures and improve process consistency. Maintain gauge readiness by verifying calibration status and proper tool handling. Keep the inspection area safe, organized, and aligned with plant housekeeping expectations. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years of experience in quality inspection, mechanical repair, machining, manufacturing, or a related environment. Hands‑on experience with automotive components, mechanical assemblies, or industrial inspection workflows. Confidence using precision measuring tools and interpreting dimensional requirements. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, dimensional standards, and inspection criteria. Comfortable using basic computer systems for tracking, recording, and status updates. High attention to detail, sound judgment, and dependable follow‑through. Physical and Work Environment Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift. Comfortable in a fast-moving production setting with regular standing, lifting, and hands‑on part handling.
