We are seeking an Equipment Services Technician to support our field service team by installing, maintaining, and repairing fountain and aeration systems while delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Complete service calls for customers regarding pond/lake equipment and assist with system installations. Support scheduling and coordination of daily service routes and maintain consistent communication with service office staff. Communicate clearly with clients about pond status, maintenance, and service issues. Electronically complete service notes, including work orders and inventory used, and report repair trends. Stay current on industry standards and application methods; participate in aquatic herbicide and algaecide application activities with regulatory compliance. Follow and reinforce all safety procedures for product use, equipment installation, electrical practices, and safety devices. Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, inventory usage, and consumption. Assist with vehicle, equipment, inventory, and shop audits and ensure proper cleaning and storage procedures. Support a continuous learning environment by being cross‑trained on all service‑related positions. Represent The Pond Guy professionally in the field and in customer interactions. Support shop cleanliness, grounds maintenance, and general building upkeep as required. Job Requirements 3-5 years of technical and mechanical maintenance experience. 2-3 years of customer service experience; sales experience is a plus. Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge; experience with high‑voltage systems is a plus. Proficient computer skills, including service software and basic office programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive a truck and trailer after training is required. Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus. Basic knowledge of pond management, fish health, and wildlife behaviors is a plus. Cross‑train on pond management, including obtaining state certification as a chemical applicator. Physical Requirements Ability to swim, manual dexterity for small components, repetitive motions, bending, lifting, lowering, and carrying packages up to 150 lbs. Ability to stand/stoop for extended periods and work in adverse weather conditions. Availability Year‑round full‑time. April–September: extended schedules with average 40‑50 hours per week, work between 7 am and 6 pm Monday‑Friday. Remaining months: Monday‑Friday schedule.
