Sr. Business Systems Analyst

IT Business Systems AnalystThe IT Business Systems Analyst supports core functions of the hospital’s applications systems to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will install, configure, administer and support assigned systems with minimal guidance from senior members of the team. The IT Business Systems Analyst will have a good understanding of database, reporting and non-EPIC applications.Essential Functions:Ability to independently execute application deployment projectsAssist in the implementation of medium complexity tools and workflowsLead small to medium complexity software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflowsLead test activities for small to medium complexity new implementation, enhancements or upgradesModify tables/master files, make additions and changes as requiredImplement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with hospital and departmental policies and proceduresTake ownership of low to medium complexity issues and act as a liaison between customer and other support staff to facilitate resolutionPerform role of project manager or project coordinator for small projectsCoordinate with multiple vendors and teams to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancementsJob Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degreeExperience: 5 or more years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in healthcare or technology related work environment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work in server operating systems such as AIX and Windows Server 2008 and 2012.Mid-level Microsoft Office skillsAbility to diagnose and resolve complex technology problemsAbility and desire to learn specialized and advanced technology solutionsAbility to establish a set of tasks and activities associated with an intended outcome and timelineAbility to take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequencesAbility to use appropriate interpersonal skills to give information to and receive information from coworkers and clients in a tactfully and professional mannerAbility to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusionsAbility to develop new skills and teach othersAbility to collaborate and build consensus with stakeholdersAbility to understand and adhere to operational standards, policies, and proceduresAbility to identify risks and issuesAbility to develop solutions for new and unfamiliar challengesAbility to analyze data, interpret results and draw conclusionsAbility to communicate concepts in elegant, concise, eloquent form to management and to cross-functional departments or teams verbally, in writing, and through pictures or diagrams when appropriateIntermediate Database (SQL/Oracle) skillsKnowledge of implementing Cloud CME solution is preferred
