What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, implementing diagnostic testing, and crafting personalized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing a range of acute, chronic, or episodic health issues either independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families regarding wellness, prevention strategies, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your practice's guidelines
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic condition management for patients
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a comparable specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to obtain within three months
