Job Title Product Manager Location New York, NY or Kansas City, MO | Hybrid Job Description SS&C is seeking to hire a Product Manager for its rapidly growing Distribution Solutions business. In this exciting and highly visible role, you will be interacting with both clients and prospects regularly and managing the product roadmap, including AI initiatives related to the Alts data set. You will be responsible for managing the WalletShare for Alternatives product and other WalletShare services, coordinating with other product managers and relationship managers, developing requirements, managing the sprint process with technical partners, and driving the product roadmap to help clients achieve their strategic goals. What You Will Get To Do Product Management: Manage the WalletShare for Alternatives data and user interface, coordinate with other product managers and relationship managers to capture client feedback, develop requirements and manage the sprint process with technical partners. Develop the strategic and technical vision for the product roadmap, leveraging data to meet client strategic goals. Client Management: Develop and manage relationships with key individuals and senior decision makers at each client in analytics and business intelligence, and provide support and technical assistance for the Distribution Intelligence Solutions product suite. Collaborate with the Client Relationship team to ensure client needs are met, conduct demos, gather feedback, provide expertise on WalletShare product use, and assist with client onboarding and training. Account Planning: Coordinate across the WalletShare teams to onboard new clients and resolve technical issues. Cross Team Coordination: Align SS&C resources (Product Development, SMEs, Customer Support, Customer Success) to respond to client needs and maximize client value. Capture client feedback and communicate it across teams to inform the product roadmap. Training & Client Onboarding: Partner with the Client Relationship team to explain enhancements, onboard clients, review training activities, develop materials, and track usage post‑training. What You Will Bring 5-10 years of related experience. Bachelor’s Degree (major in Economics or Finance preferred but not required). Ability to make smart, quick decisions under pressure, organize multiple client relationships, and maintain individualized stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to have difficult conversations while preserving relationships. A go‑getter mindset, self‑directed, resourceful, and willing to propose solutions or solve problems. Achiever mentality: committed to results, responsive to client needs, and capable of understanding strategic impacts while operating effectively at a tactical level. Ability to gain a full understanding of all Distribution Intelligence Solutions services and communicate this to prospects, clients, and stakeholders. Prioritize, multi‑task, and perform effectively under pressure. Manage, administer, and track usage analytics with the goal of increasing usage and ensuring client success. Communicate progress and performance to management and provide reporting. Continuously develop new aspects of all products and services, capture enhancements, and provide training to clients. Skills Required Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills. Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills. Demonstrated success in planning and controlling account‑related activities with delegation and effective communication. Strategic thinking and issue resolution leadership qualities. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage client contact. Ability to manage multiple customer relationships; prior customer experience required. Creative thinking and out‑of‑the‑box solutions. Ability to understand client business models and proactively create value opportunities. Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodology. Experience or familiarity with the Salesforce platform (nice to have). 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry. 5+ years of experience in a customer service or training capacity.
