Warehouse/Lube Driver

Description Sunoco LP is looking for a dependable and safety‑oriented driver to transport bulk oil and fuel using truck and tank wagon vehicles. The role demands adherence to all applicable safety regulations while ensuring reliable service for customers. Responsibilities Safely transport bulk oil & fuel off of tank wagon & van trucks in a professional, safe, efficient, timely and legal manner. Operate pumps and valves on and off the truck and safely fill tanks of all types and sizes using hoses, nozzles and fittings. Secure all products, hoses, and tools using approved methods such as tie‑downs and straps. Load and unload truck or wagon, performing frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of products, hoses, and tools. Ensure customer orders are correct, handled, and delivered to DPIM (Distributor Product Integrity Manual) standards; monitor key performance data to anticipate service problems. Represent Sunoco to customers, the public and the trucking industry in a professional manner. Coordinate with dispatchers to resolve issues during transit or delivery and disseminate solutions to meet customer needs. Maintain a viable relationship with management, dispatchers and customers to ensure customer needs are met at all times. Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations. Provide accurate accident, safety and other reports as required; maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service or repair status. Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods by completing safety inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew. Perform and assume other duties as required by the immediate supervisor. Assist in warehouse on an ad‑hoc basis by safely operating equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues and report all incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Sunoco policy. Ensure confidentiality of data collected and stored. Set priorities, meet deadlines, and coordinate with others to maintain technical accuracy and good working relationships. Education High School Diploma or GED Requirements Valid Class A or B Driver's License Clean driving record Current DOT Medical Card Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (preferred, not required) Experience driving in all weather conditions, including winter weather Willingness to work long hours, including day and night shifts Ability to climb ladders and walk on truck tanks Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods Ability to move and maneuver 450 lb drums Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and truck driving test Proficient verbal communication skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to manage priorities and workflow Ability to make timely and sound decisions Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Flexibility to work within constantly changing priorities Ability to work independently Safety at Sunoco We are committed to ensuring a safe work environment that protects employees, customers and the environment.
